When Army Lt. Col. Tim Beninato retired from the military after 25 years, he knew starting a new career would be a stressful process. He found RP/6, a USO Transition 360 Alliance partner, and learned the reassuring staff of fellow veterans in San Antonio could help him take charge of his transition to a civilian career.

The 1983 Beirut Bombing—when a suicide bomber attacked a Marine barracks in Lebanon, killing U.S. and French service members, as well as civilians—had a deep impact on the Jacksonville, North Carolina community.
