Ways to Support

The USO relies on your donations to help support service members and their families. Learn all the ways you can support the troops through donations, fundraising, corporate partnerships, uso memberships, sustained or monthly giving, stock transfer, uso gifts in honor of, planned giving and workplace giving.

Give back to the service members who protect us every day.

USO donors and partners provide critical support that improves the daily lives of service members and their families. We’re not a government agency. We rely on supporters like you to fund the programs that make the biggest difference for those who serve.

  • Individual Contributions

Your donations make it possible for the USO to support service members and their families. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, your donation ensures the USO is always by their side. Make an individual contribution.

  • Gifts in Honor or Memory of Loved One

Honor someone special by making a gift to the USO in his or her name. An honor gift is a meaningful way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, holiday or the memory of a loved one. Make a contribution in honor of someone.

  • Planned Giving

Make a difference at the USO with an estate gift. You can trust that our experts will work to find the best options for you to leave a legacy and support our important work. You can also use our online will-writing tool to create a free will and easily complete a legacy gift to the USO. Learn about Planned Giving.

  • Wire or Stock Transfer

You can support our service members through a wire or stock transfer. Funds from all of our donations lead to expanding offerings at USO Centers, connecting families separated during the holidays, and even provide assistance as service members transition home. Donating stock is easier than ever with our free online tool. Please contact the USO Representative at [email protected] for transfer instructions.

  • Donation Information

The USO appreciates all contributions that help make the lives of our service members and their families better. Tax-deductible donations to the USO can be made online via a secure server or by calling 1-800-876-7469. If you prefer to mail your donation, please send a check or money order made payable to “USO” to: USO Department WS, PO Box 96860 Washington, DC 20090-6860.

  • IRA Charitable Rollovers

Participate in a Fundraiser

There are many ways to participate in USO fundraisers throughout the year. The annual Army Ten Miler, held each October in Washington, DC, is excellent way to raise money to help keep service members connected to family, home and country.

Whether you need a bib, secured your own, or would like to participate as a virtual runner, you can help raise funds and awareness for USO programs and services. Contact TEAM USO at [email protected] for more information.

There are also many USO fundraisers going on throughout the year near you. Browse the opportunities available at crowdrise.com/theUSO to see fundraisers you may participate in to benefit our hardworking service members.

Host a USO Fundraiser

You can even host your own fundraiser for the USO. Through your dedication, you’re supporting programs and services at our more than 180 locations worldwide that help connect our service members to the people, places and things they love.

Before you begin planning your fundraiser, download our USO Fundraising Guidelines. Then, go to crowdrise.com/theUSO and select “Fundraise for the USO,” and you will be on your way to being a part of USO’s history of supporting service members and their families.

Combined Federal Campaign

Support Our Service Members Through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)

Federal employees can donate to the nonprofits of their choice through the annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) - Designate #11381. Show your support of America’s service members and military families by designating the USO as a recipient of your CFC contribution. Your donations help us to provide critical support to those who need us most, including forward-deployed service members, military families, wounded, ill and injured troops, families of the fallen and troops in transition.

The USO is happy to participate in your campaign kickoffs or other CFC events. Please contact us at [email protected] about participating.

Your CFC Participation Makes a Difference

With your support, the USO can continue to support military members and their families every day all over the world through programs like the USO Pathfinder program. The USO Pathfinder program was born from the USO’s core belief that when the estimated 200,000-plus service members transition from military service each year, they and their families should have seamless access to relevant opportunities to successfully transition into thriving veterans.

The Pathfinder program extends the USO’s mission of connection by assisting service members and their families in achieving their personal and professional goals as they transition from military service and return home to their new communities. The program leverages the USO’s global network of networks by connecting individuals to the best-in-class services and resources in their new hometown, regardless of where it may be.
