USO Planned Giving RFP

Project Summary

Developing a targeted planned giving program is a priority for the organization. The goal is to consistently grow 1941 Legacy Society membership and triple annual bequest revenue over the next five years. The transition from a federated structure to a single corporation (“One USO”) provides an opportunity for growth in all facets of planned giving. We want to develop a marketing plan/strategy that will resonate with key constituents, identify new gifts and provide meaningful stewardship of donors at the national and local level. Although planned giving should be available to all constituents, the focus should be on the silent generation and baby boomers that make up a large segment of the donor file. A systematic marketing effort with consistent branding and messaging will be a big key to success.

USO Mobile App Maintenance & Modernization RFP

Project Summary

The USO seeks to partner with a vendor to provide ongoing maintenance and modernization of the native iOS and Android apps and the data integration backend hosted in Azure. Activities may include: Diagnosing and repairing bugs in the existing applications, maintaining application monitoring and crash notice systems, updates required to maintain functionality following iOS or Android operating system version changes, maintaining backend functionality and security, technical and user experience consultation, capability enhancements for both the applications and backend systems, and project management.

Donor Segmentation Research RFP

Project Summary

This research is a critical, foundational input into the development of the USO Brand Transformation effort which is a key strategic priority for the organization. Through this effort, the USO has the goal of increasing the awareness of the USO’s relevance and value of the mission to a broader swath of the American public. Within this strategic priority, there is also a goal to grow and maintain a healthy Direct Response file as a way to increase revenue generation to ensure full support of the USO mission in the years to come. Specifically, we would like to acquire a large number of incremental individual donors who are of younger generations than the majority of our current donors, who skew strongly to Baby Boomer and Silent Generation members. In order to accomplish these goals, we must ensure our brand transformation strategy is guided by a strong understanding of our new priority donor segment(s). With this clarity about the key prospect group we are targeting, we can focus our marketing and communication efforts to drive donor acquisition more effectively.
