Together we can give more than thanks
At the USO, we believe that all Americans, united in spirit and action, can change the lives and communities of our military – and, thus, our country – for the better.
Join the USO as a Force Behind the Forces® to actively express gratitude and support members of the military and their families, at home and abroad.
With your help, we can bring a little bit of home to our men and women in uniform. With your help, we can go where they go to be by their side. With your help, we can give more than thanks.
Make the pledge today to give more than thanks and see below for ways to support.
20th Anniversary of 9/11
Honor, Remember and Reflect
For the friends and family of the 2,977 victims, it was a day of immeasurable loss and unimaginable grief. For Americans across the country – and our friends around the world – it was a time of solidarity and unity in the face of tragedy. And for some, it was a time to step up and answer the call to serve.
We want to hear about the impact this day made on your life.
Select stories like yours will appear on this page and USO social channels in the days leading up to the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
