Senior Vice President of Entertainment
Lorie Hennessey joined the USO senior staff team in April 2017 and is the senior vice president of entertainment. In this role, Hennessey leads all entertainment and sports initiatives for the USO.
Prior to the USO, Hennessey led the entertainment and sports relations team for Make-A-Wish America, a top 10 charity brand, leading a successful program in fulfilling more than 1,000 entertainment and sports wishes a year, as well as incorporating celebrities in other aspects of the organization’s strategic direction through brand awareness and fundraising in support of its mission. Overall, she spent 17 years with Make-A-Wish.
Hennessey has spent most of her career in the non-profit sector, starting with the Phoenix Zoo in special events, public relations and marketing.
She is a native of California where she resides with her husband and two teenage sons. Hennessey holds a bachelor’s in public relations from Northern Arizona University.

USO Supports the Coast Guard and Their Families During Government Shutdown
Of the five branches in the U.S. Armed Forces, the Coast Guard is the only branch currently working without pay due to the government shutdown – the longest in U.S. history. USO centers across the country have rallied in support of the Coast Guard to help service members and their families make ends meet.
