Brad Buckwalter, President of Blackwillow Meadows Real Estate
Brad Buckwalter has been President of Blackwillow Meadows Real Estate since May 2020. Blackwillow Meadows Real Estate owns and operates class A residential apartments, townhomes, single family homes, and developmental properties in Utah and California. This is a family business and Brad enjoys working hand in hand with his sisters and brother in growing and expanding the business.
Brad also uses his 30+ years of experience working for market leading multinational companies (Otis Elevator, ADT Security, Tyco Fire Products, Johnson Controls) in his role of Industrial Advisor for EQT Partners, the largest private equity firm in Europe. Brad is a Board Member of SK Shieldus, the largest physical (ADT) & cyber security (Infosec) company in South Korea with over 9,000 employees. Brad is chair of the risk/audit and people/culture committees.
Brad worked in Asia (Singapore, Japan, Korea) for 30+ years, running large US businesses as Country CEO which allowed him to experience the diverse cultures of Asia. Despite being a US citizen, Brad has lived the majority of his life outside of the US and maintains permanent residency in South Korea. During Brad’s years in Korea, he was active in the community, being a member of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC), a Governor for the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham), and was even awarded Honorary Citizenship of Seoul by Mayor Won Soon Park.
Brad is especially proud to have had the opportunity to serve the US troops in Korea, being a member of the USO Advisory Council for 15+ years and served as Council President from 2015 to 2017. The USO Advisory Council plays an active fundraising role for USO Korea through holding such events as the “Six Star Salute” and the “Red, White, & Blue” charity golf tournament, among other activities.
Brad is an avid sportsman particularly enjoying golf, tennis, hiking, and travelling. Brad is a family man who cherishes spending as much time as possible with his wife and family (three sons, one grandson) and is now enjoying readjusting back to life in the US after living overseas for 30+ years.
