Ben Leslie serves as the Chief Development Officer (CDO), where he leads the organization’s development strategy, spearheads fundraising initiatives, and oversees a talented team of fundraising professionals.
With a distinguished career dedicated to the nonprofit sector, Ben has more than two decades of expertise in fundraising, strategic development, and organizational leadership. Ben came to the USO after 13 years with Folds of Honor, where he served as their Chief Development Officer. During his tenure, Ben demonstrated his ability to design and execute successful fundraising strategies that encompass corporate partnerships, individual giving, grant acquisition, estate planning, and chapter donor engagement. Prior to his work at Folds of Honor, Ben served as the Director of Development at the Oklahoma State University Foundation where he honed his fundraising expertise across multiple colleges, campuses, and territories.
Recognized as a strategic thinker and results-driven leader, Ben has built a reputation for driving growth, fostering innovation and simply building meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Oklahoma State University and a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis.
When not advancing philanthropic initiatives, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and golfing together.
