The National Guard and Reserves are Always at the Ready

In colonial times, everyday citizens were never far from their rifles just in case they were called to defend against attacks on their communities. The National Guard emerged from those humble beginnings but never forgot them, incorporating a representative image of the Minuteman into its logo. Today’s modern Minutemen carry on the tradition but with a much broader scope, serving at home and abroad.
