Rachael Ray, TV star, author and host of the award-winning daytime television show bearing her name, recently embarked on her first USO tour when she visited service members at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.
Ray toured the base with Air Force Col. Neil Richardson, the installation commander, and met with a K9 training unit, toured in the inside of a C-17 and was received a challenge coin from Air Force Master Sgt. Jessica Stockwell, a KC-10 boom operator who refuels aircraft while in flight.
She wrapped up her USO tour by serving up lunch to service members alongside Air Force Master Sgt. Xerex Santella, a military chef, and snapped pictures with service members and their families inside the dining hall. Ray’s entire visit to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst was captured by the “Rachael Ray Show” crew and the TV star invited service members to a live taping of her show in New York. Every day, America’s service members selflessly put their lives on the line to keep us safe and free. Please take a moment to let our troops know how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice.
