Don Blanchard is healing on America’s highways.
The father of Army Capt. Aaron Blanchard - who was killed April 23 by a rocket attack in Afghanistan - is riding to all four corners of the United States on his Harley Davidson. The ride is intended to honor his son and raise money for the organizations that helped his family after Aaron was killed, including the USO. Blanchard, 58, started the roughly 12,000-mile ride Aug. 3 from Yakima, Wash. The USO caught up with him Aug. 30, riding along from Arlington, Va., to North Carolina.
Every day, America’s service members selflessly put their lives on the line to keep us safe and free. Please take a moment to let our troops know how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice.
