Combining baby shower games, local guest speakers, drawings for traditional baby shower gifts, and creating community connections; these popular showers provide a touch of home for parents-to-be, who are often away from their families, friends, and support networks during pregnancies and within the first few months of infancy.

USO Special Delivery is also offered virtually, with video-call baby showers, that reach remote military communities located far from a USO center, where a traditional, in-person baby shower might not be possible. More than 50,000 new and expectant service members and military spouses have been served through this program since it was launched in 2013.

In 2024, the USO Special Delivery Program asked attendees of showers worldwide if this was the only shower they would receive for their new and expanding family. 73% of all attendees stated this was the only baby shower to help them celebrate.
