USO Program in a Box delivers a box of fun activities to people serving in remote or austere locations without a brick-and-mortar USO Center.

When on TDY, stationed or deployed in austere or dangerous locations, your options for bonding with your fellow service members over a fun activity are limited – especially when far away from a brick-and-mortar USO Center. After a long, stressful day in the field, it is important to be able to take some time for yourself and unwind.

Through USO Program in a Box, you can get a box shipped directly to your unit, filled with all the supplies you need to carry out some of the most popular USO Center activities – from arts and crafts to game nights.

With this program, you can take a break from the daily stressors of your duties, forge bonds with members of your unit and recharge on the front lines.

How It Works

  • Experience the excitement and enjoyment of a USO Program in a Box activity by talking to your leadership or a USO field staff member, and then fill out a request form.
  • Once you’ve filled out the request form, you’ll receive more details from the USO team. The box will ship directly to your unit at no cost, but in some instances, USO field staff will hand-deliver the boxes.
  • Then, you will receive your USO Program in a Box; from here, you will be responsible for organizing and carrying out the activity with other members of your unit. With simple instructions to follow, no training is required to lead the activity.
