Located on the second floor of the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT), the USO Gulf Coast provides a “touch of home” experience for our service members. The airport serves approximately 12,000 military heroes each year and plays a crucial role in helping to lift their spirits. In addition to the airport Center, USO Gulf Coast recently opened its doors at Navy Construction Battalion (NCBC) Gulfport Naval Mobilization Processing Site (NMPS). The NMPS Center also serves approximately 12,000 military members each year. This Center plays an important role in the mobilization and demobilization of Sailors and Marines. In addition to the 24,000 served each year, another 35,000 service members and family members benefit from USO Gulf Coast hosted events or through our outreach programs.
USO Gulf Coast offers Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, and Marines stationed at the military installations in the Gulf Coast region, a recreational and morale-boosting opportunity. Offerings to our service members include a lounge which offers a variety of gaming opportunities; an Internet Café with computers and free internet access, a library, television viewing area. Patrons can enjoy relaxation and communication with friends and family in addition to food and beverage services. There is never any charge to service members and their families who take advantage of USO Gulf Coast services. Also available are signature programs such as the “United Through Reading Military Program,” “Operation USO Care Package,” and “USO Operation Phone Home. These programs are available to all service members and their families.
