The Doobie Brothers: A World Premiere

The Doobie Brothers: A World Premiere

The USO is proud to present the world premiere of The Doobie Brothers' newest music video, "Far From Home." Written by vocalist and guitarist Pat Simmons, "Far From Home" is from the band's latest album "World Gone Crazy." The song is a reflection on the bittersweet moment in life when a child leaves home for the first time. The video is sure to resonate with military families that are familiar with similar emotions that surround deployments.

The Doobie Brothers are long-time supporters of troops and their families. In 1984, the American rock band toured with the USO 1st Airborne Rock 'N Roll Division in Guam playing some of their greatest hits such as "Black Water" and "Long Train Runnin'." The Doobie Brothers are supporting the USO on their 2011 North American tour with the presentation of the music video "Far From Home" during their concerts.
