Front & Center: Dawn in Hampton, Virginia
“I think people don’t understand that just because you have a background or an education, it doesn’t necessary help [you in the job hunt]… They [the employers] see someone who has moved a lot, which can be difficult. They see, for me [because I served in the Air Force], a military member, because a lot of my accomplishments still reflect [the] military. They either think I’m still in or don’t understand how my [current Air Force] reserve position will work with their workforce. It just been very difficult to get out there.”
- Dawn, Air Force Reservist and Spouse | Hampton, Virginia
