Philanthropy Team

    Ryan joined the USO’s development team in 2022 and serves as a Philanthropy Officer for the USO’s US Central Region. Ryan joined us with more than 20 years in the nonprofit organizational space where he has held key development roles in healthcare, higher education, youth development and social services.

    Sarah is a career fundraiser with over 30 years’ of experience in the Higher Ed and Nonprofit sectors. She currently serves as Vice President of Philanthropy for the USO, leading the Major and Planned Giving team.

    Lauren joined the USO team as the Grants and Stewardship Manager in February 2023. A former librarian and archivist, Lauren pivoted to working in development several years ago, and has a strong background in research, grant writing, donor relations, and community engagement.

    Monica joined the USO’s development team as the Director of Philanthropy for the Midwest Region in November 2022. While based in the Chicago area, she travels to North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio on behalf of the USO.

    Mary-Elizabeth joined the USO’s development team in 2015 after being a volunteer for USO Metropolitan Baltimore-Washington for 6 years. Her desire to support America’s military stems from her passion to serve others and learning from the example of her extended family and many peers who answered the call to serve our nation.
