No experience necessary. Start your next career in IT support.

There are 150,000 technology roles currently unfilled in the U.S.

And nearly every company whose employees use computers has a need for IT Support professionals.

The majority of IT support positions do not require a college degree, but they do require prior experience. That’s why Google.org is supporting the USO to provide free enrollment for qualified active duty service members, military spouses, and veterans (within one year of separation) to the Google IT Support Professional Certificate program, as well as training and career guidance to support their journey. This certificate will give learners the training and experience they need to get a job in IT support.

About the Google IT Support Professional Certificate Program

Through a dynamic mix of video lectures, assessments, and hands-on labs and widgets, this certificate will introduce you to troubleshooting and customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, and security – the key skills you need for an entry level IT support job.

Along the way, you’ll hear from Googlers with unique backgrounds and perspectives, whose own foundation in IT support served as a jumping off point for their careers. They’re excited to go on this journey with you, as you invest in your future by achieving an end-of-program certificate.

If you dedicate 8-10 hours a week to the courses, you can complete the certificate in about eight months. Learn more about the program here.

A pathway to jobs

Completing the program and earning the certificate is an important first step, and you’ll also be supported in the next step — the job search.

Once you’ve completed the certificate program, the USO Pathfinder® program will help you navigate transition to civilian employment. You’ll have the opportunity to share your information directly with top employers hiring for IT support jobs including Bank of America, Cognizant, GE Digital, Hulu, Infosys, Intel, Kforce, MCPc, PNC Bank, RICOH USA, Sprint, TEKSystems, UPMC, Veterans United Home Loans, Walmart and their companies: Allswell, Bonobos, Hayneedle, Jet, Modcloth, Moosejaw, Sam’s Club, Shoes.com, Store No. 8, and Vudu, and of course, Google.
