Serving Those Who Serve & Their Families
Founded in preparation for World War II by national leaders who understood that maintaining high morale in a fighting force is vital to a nation’s military success, the USO has become the vital bridge between Americans and their military service members. The USO National Capital District is one of the few USO operations that has operated continuously since 1941.
USO National Capital District has ten locations and two “deployable” Mobile USOs providing signature USO services to the nearly 300,000 military members and their families living in the region and the 150,000 that travel through our local airports.
