Frank A. Herrmann, Jr.

 

Vice President, Operations Pacific

 

Frank A. Herrmann, Jr. began his career with the USO in 1995 as director of the Camp Foster, Camp Kinser and MCAS Futenma USO centers. Throughout his career with the USO, Herrmann has held numerous positions including director, USO Okinawa (1998), USO regional director (2000) and his current position, vice president, Operations, Pacific (2002). As Operations vice president, Herrmann is primarily responsible for providing operational oversight for all stateside USO centers in the Pacific region. In addition, he develops and implements standards of excellence to ensure consistency and quality with respect to the programs and services that are provided in the name of the USO.

During the course of his service with the U.S. Navy, Herrmann served as:

 
  • Supply Department head aboard the USS Barnstable County (LST 1197),
  • Stock Control Division officer aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67),
  • Deputy director, Aviation Department and Director, Quality Assurance Division, Naval Supply Depot, Guam,
  • Supply Department head, Amphibious Construction Battalion Two, Little Creek, Va.,
  • Director, Material Division and director, Purchase Division, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Va.,
  • Director, Material Management Division, Joint U.S. Military Assistance Group Korea, Chinhae, South Korea
  • Logistics Department head, Fleet Surveillance Support Command, Chesapeake, Va.
 

Herrmann also worked aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CVA-67), and at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. and Naval Air Station Cubi Point, Philippines. He retired from the Navy in 1991 after 24 years of service, after which he worked as Business Office Director at Commonwealth College, Norfolk, Va.

Herrmann graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from LaVerne University, Calif. in 1974. In 1991, he was awarded a master’s degree in business administration from Golden Gate University, Calif.
