In Sept. 2007, the East Coast Mobile USO brought the USO’s programs and services to bases and public events ranging from Jacksonville, Fla., to McGuire AFB, Penn. The Mobile USO crew served more than 1,800 service men and women, and built support for active duty military amongst 246,200 participants.
Sept. 29, 2007
On Sept. 29, the Mobile USO attended the Navy vs. Air Force football game at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md. The “HELLO! From the Homefront” program was offered to the more than 35,000 game spectators in attendance. Many of the midshipmen and Air Force cadets who stopped by the Mobile USO participated in the program and signed a banner with a message of support for deployed service members. The Mobile USO also broadcasted the game on two outdoor plasma TV’s, as well as passed out USO giveaways, candy, snacks and water.
