The USO staff was very friendly. My family felt very comfortable and relaxed. A nice escape from the hot sun! Knowing the USO is out there with the soldiers puts my mind at ease.
– Valerie Uresie, military spouse

Fort McCoy, Wisconsin
July 22-23, 2007
On July 22 - 23, the Central Region Mobile USO brought the USO’s core programs and services to more than 1,200 service members stationed on Fort McCoy, Wis. For two days, the Mobile USO welcomed home service members as they returned from a 22-month deployment. The mobile served more than 600 slices of pizza during a movie night and raffled off free books and DVD’s for them to take home. In addition to supporting returning service members, the Mobile USO assisted soldiers preparing for deployment on August 18 by distributing more than 300 phone cards and enabling the troops to participate in the United Through Reading ® Military Program. The Mobile USO also arranged to have care packages sent to the unit once they reach their deployment location.
