During October and November, the East Coast Mobile USO brought the USO’s mission to bases and events ranging from Camp Tocca, Ga., to New Castle, Del. They were able to serve 923 service men and women and built support amongst 77,700 event attendees.

 

Deployment support in Fort Benning, Ga.

 

Nov. 8, 2007

 

On Nov. 8, the Mobile USO joined with the USO Georgia center at Lawson Army Air Field to provide support for the 24th Ordinance Deployment out of Fort Benning, Ga. The Mobile USO provided drinks, snacks and sandwiches for the 218 deploying service men and women as they waited to board the aircraft. The USO staff distributed 300 unit phone cards from the USO Operation Phone Home program and an Operation USO Care Package, full of goodies before they boarded the aircraft. In addition to the core USO programs, the Mobile USO also offered troops the opportunity to take a photo or record a special message for their loved ones back home as a keepsake.
