Howdy's Food Mart, Support USO El Paso
From now to Jan. 6, 2008, participating Howdy's Food Marts in El Paso Texas, and Las Cruces/Deming, N.M., will offer customers an opportunity to demonstrate their support for America's troops by making a one dollar donation to the USO and signing a specially-designed flag to be hung in the store. All proceeds raised will support the El Paso USO Center. Owned and operated by Transmountain Oil Company, L.C., Howdy's Food Marts feature drive-thru windows, GECU-affiliated ATM's and pay-at-the-pump service at more than a dozen high-volume retail convenience store locations. Operation USO Care Package
Through Operation USO Care Package, you can sponsor a care package for just $25 and include a personal message of support and thanks to a service member. Operation Enduring Care
Operation Enduring Care was designed to help meet the recovery needs of injured service members, their families and the medical personnel who care for the wounded. This program provide lounge areas at hospitals and medical facilities, duffle bags filled with clothing and toiletries for troops coming directly from the battlefield, DVD players and movies, CDs, video games and other entertainment items that can be checked out and day trips to local sporting events and concerts. They also provide emergency financial assistance for service members and their families to cover transportation, hotel and travel accommodations and other emergency situations. Gifts from the Homefront
Gifts from the Homefront is a program developed for the donation of Authorized Patrons of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and Defense Commissary gift certificates to be used by service members at base exchanges and at the commissary. Once the certificates are purchased through monetary donations they are sent to USO locations worldwide. At our locations the gift certificates are passed out to service members and their families.
