Rita Cosby Spotlights Her 'Quiet Hero'

Journalist Rita Cosby calls the story in her new book,
Quiet Hero, easily the most profound of her career.
In the book -- releasing in paperback soon -- Cosby details her father's past -- a past she knew little to nothing about until recently. But as she learned of his World War II experience as a Polish Resistance fighter and POW, she says, she was "reminded that there are heroes living among us.
"In a deeply personal manner, I've seen the profound effects of war upon a soldier's soul and the families that love them," she writes.
Cosby is donating a percentage of the proceeds from her book to the
USO's Operation Enduring Care initiative, a new campaign to create a national network of care to support America’s wounded warriors and their families.
