Ways to Get Involved
Clubs and
Organizations: Ways to Get Involved with the USO
Your organization’s involvement with the USO provides vital
support for our troops and their families. It also offers a great way for you
to engage your members in a cause that many of them cherish.
Members of clubs and organizations across the country have
volunteered at their local USO centers, organized fundraising and other special
events on behalf of the troops, and discovered new ways to contribute their
time, talents and resources for this patriotic cause.

Here are just a few of the many ways to involve the members
of your organization in supporting our troops:
- Have local clubs or affiliates host events in their
communities. We can work with you to develop a branded event that will increase
brand awareness of your organization while also supporting troops and their
families
- Set up a club fundraising page through Team USO
- Set up member giving programs. For example, you can
pick one month and ask all your local clubs or affiliates to “pass the hat” to
support troops and their families, or ask members to add a dollar to their dues
to support USO activities
- Volunteer at a nearby USO
center or a local USO event or activity
- Sponsor an event a local USO is hosting
- Support a USO program, such as the United through Reading Military
Program, which allows deployed troops to connect with their children through
books, or USO2GO, which brings a bit of “R&R” to troops serving in the most
remote areas in Afghanistan and Iraq.
